I feel my work got better as the year went on. i can see this because looking at my first drawing and my last drawing, i can tell i have improved a tiny bit. the water theme project that we were assigned to draw the first day, i drew again with a different perspective and i liked it alot better.i understood how to make the theme water look like an actual piece of art, there is not random objects in the final drawing than in the first one. you can visually see that my techniques have developed because of practice and drawing everyday. i feel i have improved as an artist which is great. i truly did use my own ideas for all of my projects. some of my projects i did get inspiration from others work but i did make it my own every single time. i used many sources for inspiration. i either looked up the project idea on pinterest, or i used my complete own ideas from my imagination to help make my art. i had to use alot of creativity after i got inspiration. i also used some of mrs purtees ideas when i was brainstorming, she helped me get the ball rolling for a couple projects. i then had to put my own twist on those ideas which made my art my own. I TAKE RISKS: I took a risk in the project that we had to make our own project, i made a plaster hand and i didn't really want to. but i i did it anyways and it turned out not so great. but i did take a risk and it was kind of fun making the hand. this was also a material i would never have chosen to use for a project if mrs purtee had not brought it up. i have never used plaster strips before in my life so it was weird using it for the first time. i would have normally used markers and colored pencils and have made something completely different. so in the end it was a good thing that a branched out of my comfort zone.
REFLECT: some times i had to take a step back and look at my work, sometimes i had too start over because i did not like what i made. but if i did like it i would start to think what could i add to make it look better or what changes i could make to what i have already made. this made it so i 100% liked what i made on a project. i always had a plan before i started to work, and if i did'nt do that i would probably have made a lot worse looking art. i tried to make sure my ideas would work before i started to art. sometimes i didn't make things the way i planned them out to be but i still liked them in the end. I feel my art work should be rated at is a 3 for reflection. i am able to see my strengths and weaknesses in all of my work. i know my limits but i also know what i am capable of. i tried to make sure i never bit off more than i could chew with all of my projects. but i also tried to challenge myself as much as i could. For doing risks i would also rate myself at a 3 because i feel that i chose projects that sometimes i would not know what it would turn out like. sometimes i did not like the outcome but i was still glad i attempted that piece of work. for example the fish drawing i did. i tried to draw a bass fish that would work for the song lyrics i chose for the project where we chose text and made it into art. i did not like the way the fish turned out but im glad i tried to make a realistic looking piece of art. i feel i grew from that experience. i enjoyed the project where we could choose what we wanted to make. i created a painting where i placed tape on the paper and made a diamond shape and painted around the tape. that was a fun project and i feel it was my best looking piece of artwork. this was by far the best project we had and i enjoyed it the most out of all the projects. i did not like the project where we had to make a scratch tablet thing out of clay. it was hard and my final product look
